The Association for the Repair, Reinforcement and Protection of Concrete (ARPHO) was created in 2010 with the aim of fostering the professionalism of the trade and promoting the work of its members.
ARPHO is the support platform for companies specialized in concrete repair, reinforcement and protection activities, including as members specialized contractors and manufacturers, engineering companies and other entities, such as research centers.
The main objectives of the association are:
- To promote the express recognition of concrete repair, reinforcement and protection activities.
- To establish protocols for the accreditation of companies in these specialized activities.
- To create a professional network throughout the national territory, through regular meetings and gatherings.
- To inform about the different working methods of the guild, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of each one of them.
- To improve the training of the companies’ personnel and to prepare new personnel for their incorporation to the guild.
- To favor the permanent training of the personnel of the companies of the guild.
- To promote the cooperation of all the related agents (manufacturers, engineering companies, Public Administrations,…) in the development of the guild.
History
ARPHO was born in February 2010 with the aim of bringing together the group of companies specialized in:
- Concrete repair
- Concrete reinforcement
- Concrete protectionRepair and/or structural reinforcement of other materials, using techniques similar to those used for concrete.
The association was started by a group of businessmen from different regions of Spain, aspiring to become a meeting point with the Public Administration and other entities related to these specialized activities.
